Dot Matrix is designed to look like an old dot matrix printer font, the kind you used to get from your IBM compatible printer in the old days (before the sweet gods revealed PostScript).
I developed the font because I needed to create a pill bottle label for a movie that I was creating props for. I’m sure somebody could find some use for it too. The font was created with Fontographer 3.0.
Dot Matrix contains an odd assortment of characters, since some of the more detailed and tiny Macintosh characters don’t make sense when you make them with a lot of dots. For example, the registration mark character (option-R) is too complex and tiny to create in a bunch of tiny dots. In their place, I have included some greek characters which one is more likely to find in the character sets of IBM-compatible dot matrix printers. There are 186 characters in the font.
The file here contains the screen and printer fonts and AFM file (not that you would need the AFM file). The screen fonts come in sizes 10, 12, 14, 18, and 24. The screen fonts look a little strange, but the printer font looks much better.
